Glorietta Redevelopment

Originally known as the Quad in the 1970s, Glorietta was launched in the 1990s and is the veritable crown jewel of the Ayala Center in Makati.

To update the lifestyle center further for the 21st century, the old Glorietta 1 and Glorietta 2 were demolished, with a central portion serving at the new activity center with a 3-level high ceiling and skylights. Granite stone flooring was utilized in all the mall areas, and glass and aluminum canopies were used to protect pedestrians against the elements. Glorietta 1 and 2 each have three levels that house retail shops and restaurants. The two wings also now have a new common entrance facing a newly built road, Palm Drive.

Further, built on top of the Glorietta mall is the 347-room Holiday Inn and Suites Makati business hotel. The main lobby, restaurant and bar are located at the fourth floor, while function and meeting rooms are on the fifth floor. Amenities, such as a swimming pool, gym and spa facilities, are located at the topmost floor.
